What is shubh muhurat?
An auspicious window of time. Each day has general ones — Brahma muhurta before sunrise, Abhijit muhurta around midday and the good Choghadiya — and times traditionally avoided, like Rahu kaal.
What is Abhijit muhurat?
A window of about 48 minutes around local midday, traditionally good for beginnings. On Wednesdays it is usually avoided.
What is Rahu kaal?
About an hour and a half of each day, ruled by Rahu, traditionally avoided for starting anything new. Its time changes with the weekday and your city's sunrise and sunset.
Which Choghadiya are good?
Amrit, Shubh and Labh are good; Char is good for travel; Udveg, Kaal and Rog are avoided.
