How to find your rashi
Your rashi is your Moon sign: the sign the Moon was in when you were born. The Moon changes sign about every two and a half days, so your date of birth is usually enough; the birth time settles the days it moved. Find your Moon sign
Moon sign or Sun sign?
Western horoscopes are read from the Sun sign. Vedic rashifal is read from the Moon sign, because the Moon is the mind and its daily movement is felt quickly. Vedic signs are also measured against the stars, about 24° behind the Western ones, so your rashi can differ from your star sign.
How today's rashifal is written
Each sign's reading starts from where today's planets stand counted from that rashi: the Moon's house sets the day's mood, Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu the background, and Saturn's period (Sade Sati, Ashtama or Kantaka Shani) is named when it runs. A short reading is written from these facts each morning, India time, and the facts themselves are listed on each sign's page. It describes tendencies, not fixed events.

Should I read my Moon sign or my Sun sign?
Vedic rashifal is read from the Moon sign (rashi). If you know only your Western star sign, find your Moon sign from your date of birth first; it is often a different sign.
When does today's rashifal change?
Every day at midnight India time. Each sign's page shows the date and the time the Moon moves into the next house that day.
Is the rashifal the same for everyone of my sign?
It describes the sign as a whole. Your own kundli, with your Lagna and running dasha, says much more about you.
Do I need a remedy if today looks hard?
